Revlon Brow Fantasy: Dark Brown Review ($10 CDN)

The Instagram brow - if you don't know what this is, check out what they look like here, or a video all about them here. I'm more of an every day brow kinda girl because
1. I can't be bothered to draw on brows every day - that's a 10 minute affair
2. Clowns scare me, and well some Instagram brows look like clown brows to me

I've only recently been into brows - really it was only just a few years ago that I had my makeup done, and had my brows filled in. I was shocked that my brows needed to be filled in because my brows were out of control of years! Filling them in was the last of my worries.

About my brows:
Hair Color: Dark Brown/Black
Texture: coarse, and straight as can be, usually pointing down
Thickness: Quite thick, but sparingly at the ends

Drugstore lipsticks are hit and miss - and at the price point that Essence Cosmetic offers, I really wondered if they could make a quality lipstick at the price - I decided to give the lipstick a try.

It's been a long time since I've tried a new shampoo/conditioner combo. I picked up this duo at my local Target (yes I know Target Canada is dead!!) but I have also seen this duo at my local health food store. I decided to give this a try as I like using more natural products on my hair, especially shampoo and conditioner. Before we get into it, here are my hair details:

About my hair:
Texture: Curly/wavy
Thickness: Thin
Length: Medium
Color: Dark ash brown (dyed)

Skin Rescue - we all need some of it sometimes! Normal skin does a not exist in my vocabulary - I have struggled over the past few years with my acne prone skin. I've tried a few skin products that have really helped my skin - but with all the hype around First Aid Beauty as a great skincare line, I decided to try the cleanser meant to control breakouts. Before we begin, here are my skin details:

Facts about my skin:
Skin tone: Olive tone
Skin type: Oily and acne prone
Problems: Occasional breakouts on the chin and cheeks, acne scars, large pores in the t-zone, an oily t-zone, and the odd wrinkle

The Product: Caviar Anti-Aging Working Hair Spray

When did "anti-aging" hairspray become a "thing"? I remember clearly the day I picked up this beauty bottle - during a Sephora VIB sale with my sister screaming "do not buy that it's ridiculous". Yes, she's right it's a pretty ridiculous claim - but I'm a sucker. The bottle is so pretty, and well if it really is anti-aging well then I should really try it!

About my hair:
Texture: Curly/wavy
Thickness: Thin
Length: Medium
Color: Dark ash brown (dyed)

Skoah Target Session: Peel Facial

This one is going be a long one! Grab a tea or coffee, and get comfy!

Skoah has been around in Calgary for a few years now. I have tried out many of their products and facials before. I use to have a membership where I was able to go for a facials every 1-2 months (depending on the facial) for a discounted price. Although I loved the facials treatments, I found that the facials themselves weren't doing enough for my skin, and have since switched over to chemical peels. When I heard about the new target sessions they were offering including a 'peel' session, I was ecstatic to try it out.

Facts about my skin:
Skin tone: Olive tone
Skin type: Oily and acne prone
Problems: Occasional breakouts on the chin and cheeks, acne scars, large pores in the t-zone, an oily t-zone, and the odd wrinkle.

I recently visited Skoah to try out a new facial (I'll review my facial soon!) - and while I was there I picked up a few items. I haven't used any Skoah products in a about a year or so, but I have tried many of their products for oily skin. Here's what I picked up this time:

Send a man with a shopping list to hand a sales associate and you shall receive.

I was fortunate enough to have my hubby travel to the US recently and like any good beauty junkie I thought "Ulta Haul" so I emailed shopping list and said "just show this to the sales associate and she will do all the work". I focused on some Ulta exclusive, and items not readily available in Canada.

So here are the goodies my awesome hubby brought back for me:
