Flawless skin - isn't that what we all want when we apply foundation? Smashbox created a BB Water product that is a very liquid foundation - their Camera Ready BB Water Broad Spectrum SPF 30. You may remember I tried their BB Cream for Eyes a few year ago (see that review here). Before we begin, first about my foundation needs:

Foundation Needs:
Skin type: Oily and acne prone
What needs covering: dark spots, uneven texture, discoloration
MAC Foundation Color (as a compare): NC30

THE PRODUCT: Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water ($50 CDN)

The basis of this BB Water is that it is a hydrating and oil-free formula that creates a sheer, radiant finish that lasts. It claims to delivers a demi-matte finish that will minimizes the look of fine lines, pores, and blemishes. Because of the formula, it claims it allows you to build coverage one drop at a time, and will not dry, or cake. Here is some more information directly from Smashbox:
  • PRIMES: Blurs out imperfections like fine lines, pores and blemishes
  • PROTECTS: SPF 30 helps shield skin from environmental damage
  • PERFECTS: Sheer-to-medium coverage comes easy with its buildable, liquid-silk consistency.
  • HYDRATES: A revolutionary formula infused with elements of Primer Water quenches skin
  • OIL & ALCOHOL FREE: No shine.

I think what interested me most about this is how light the formula was, and I was really intrigued by the dropper as that really helps to control how much you use, and build up coverage slowly.

The Results

In this case, I think pictures speak louder than any words I can type here! I'm so impressed with this BB Water. It literally feels like NOTHING on the skin, and covers so naturally, and last well all day. I personally wear it with the Rimmel Primer as my skin is quite oily.

Note: No under eye concealer was applied to my skin below.

I truly feel this stuff actually looks like natural skin when applied and it really builds really well - so whether you're looking for an every day coverage, or for a special occasion this BB Water will not disappoint! The dropper is great as it really helps to control how much product you use and build up coverage slowly.

BB cream became famous in the market last 2016. Until then, make up junkies became addicted to this and they have been searching for the best brand they can apply and can match their skin type. I am a fan too, that’s why I am in search of a brand that will become more friendly to my skin. Honestly, I haven’t tried this, Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water. This is also the very first time I heard the name of the brand that is why I searched for some brand reviews and found out that it’s a brand that gives out good result. That sounds good, isn’t it?
