Real Techniques brushes can be found online, I was fortunate enough to find mine at Winners (I've seen many of their collections there). Now, on to the ones I've tested out!
The Product: Brush & Powder Brush ($11 CDN each)
- the brushes are made from synthetic bristles (taklon) making them very soft
- the brushes are color coded for the collection (pink = perfect finish, yellow = flawless base, blue (not shown) = enhance eyes)
- all brushes have names on the handles for easy reference - call me crazy but this is GENIOUS. The MAC numbering system is great for the lovely artists out there - but for us common folk I'm for easy names like "blush brush"
- all the brushes have a flat base so they stand on the counter on their own
Blush Brush: this is a medium barreled shaped brush, with 'egg' shaped bristles
The Results
Blush Brush: You will never be left with 'clown cheeks' with this blush brush - I always seem to end up with a lovely blended cheek.
Powder Brush: Great for all over powder application or powder foundation (be warned, this bad boy is huge!)
The only downfall I found was the barrel size. The powder brush in particular has such a large barrel it takes up space in my brush holder. To me, that's minor to live with given the quality of these brushes, at such an affordable price.
