Well the name of this mascara is enticing enough. Aren't we all on the hunt for some big fat lashes after all? First, a low-down on my eyes:

The Product: Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara ($24 CDN)
This mascara claims to do it all! Volumize, lengthen, curl and fan lashes out - I don't know about you - but that sounds like THE PERFECT MASCARA!! One of the most enticing claims I found was that the wand is meant to be used on upper and lower lashes. Don't get me wrong, I have not (yet) caved in to having a dedicated upper and lower lash mascara. But one that can claim to do both is pretty exciting - as I typically end up smudging my lower mascara when I do apply it.
The Results
First let's start off with the package - I get the 'big fatty' tube, but for a mascara tube it does take up quite a lot of precious space in my makeup drawer. The design itself (art deco) is cute, but nothing too spectacular. Now that we have that out of the way - on to the before and after (curled lashes)!
Formula: I would say this is a wet gel- like formula. Quite thick, and I often find myself having to clean off the brush before applying a layer of mascara.
Application: I like the brush - I personally like stiff brushes, as it really lets you get in the base of the lash to build volume. For the application itself, you need to be patient and build up the layers - and I would recommend having a lash brush on hand to define the lashes when you finish the application. Because of the gel-like formula I found that I needed to be careful around my hooded eyelids (see a bit of a smear on my lid below). This means you'll have to be careful applying on your lower lashes as well.

Wear-ability: I liked the volume that I got from this mascara. My eyes lids almost felt a little heavy after about 3 layers - so it really does 'fatten' them up!
Final verdict: This is a good mascara if you're looking for some lashes that are full of body. The wand size was perfect to get to all the lashes, but the formula made it a little difficult to deal with my hooded eyes. I found that this stuff stayed on all day - and because of the high wear formula it takes some work to remove. So you'll definitely need an eye makeup remover for this one!
